Exciting New Electronic Communication Using Google Wave

Wednesday, December 9th, 2009

One of the newest products to be introduced by Google is Google Wave. The product is a 2009 release and initial release is by invitation only. Google hopes that the product will replace both e-mail and instant messaging in the near future.

The new Wave program will allow coworkers around the world to work simultaneously on the same document. Each will be able to add photographs, maps, videos or rich text documents anywhere in the communication.

The wave allows any person that is a part of the group to insert a reply anywhere in the message and to make necessary edits. More participants can be added at any time. The playback feature allows participants to be brought back up to speed on the project by allowing any message to be rewound and played back showing the entire process.

Using Google Wave is a great way to work together on group projects. It allows you to share photographs or take notes on a meeting, even if the meeting is online. This is an excellent way for groups in satellite offices to brainstorm. If you have a little down time, Google Wave even offers interactive games to fill the spare time.

Google Wave will build on the best features of G-mail where messages remain as threads, but also adds many of the best features of instant messaging programs and more.

The program is still in the development stage with only limited release to those who are willing to report the bugs that are found. It is expected to remain in this stage for the rest of 2009 and be released in its full version for 2010.

In the program, you will find such handy features as spelling and grammar check. In addition, a translator can convert documents into 40 different languages, once again making the service useful around the globe.

Google Wave will be in full release soon. Currently, you can request to be a part of the evaluation team, however you must wait for an invitation.

Very soon Google mail will be taken over by a new brand of communication. Google Wave is the new toy from the popular developer. Wave developers are saying that this is going to be the best mail program yet.
